British Metallers, Triaxis, are thrilled to announce that highly experienced drummer, Gareth Arlett, (Amputated/My Silent Wake/Control The Storm) along with equally adept guitarist, Matt Chambers (In The Absence of Light), have joined the band, after receiving numerous applications from around the world for both positions and auditioning a number of excellent musicians in both disciplines.
Introducing on drums, Gareth Arlett:
A solid and powerful drummer, Gareth first got behind the kit in 1994, joining his first band in 1997. In 2002 he co-founded the UK Death Metal band AMPUTATED giving him the opportunity to record three albums, play across Europe, tour with some of the biggest names in extreme metal and perform at some of the largest European festivals. He remains the drummer with UK Death/Doom Metal band MY SILENT WAKE, having recorded their 2015 album and having played a number of high profile festivals. He also co-founded Bristol based CONTROL THE STORM, stepping down in 2014. Gareth said, on joining Triaxis:
I am really excited about the prospect of picking up where Giles has left off. I am really looking forward to working with Krissie, Glyn, Matt and, again with Becky. After 14 years of playing Death Metal it promises to be a fresh challenge for me to put my own stamp on the further evolution of Triaxis.
Introducing on guitar, Matt Chambers:
An accomplished guitarist, Matt first started playing 14 years ago. Founding member of IN THE ABSENCE OF LIGHT, Matt has toured the UK extensively, as well as releasing two albums. He also admits to playing bass, once, for a 70s Glam Rock band that saw him play in Belgium. Matt added:
Huge congratulations to CJ and Giles on their awesome news and a massive thanks to the guys in Triaxis for welcoming and giving me the opportunity to be a part of the next chapter. These are definitely some big boots to fill. All I’ll say is I can’t wait to get on stage, rock my heart out, and meet all you awesome people. Much love, Matt x
