Steelhouse Saturday complete.

NAZARETH, THE TREATMENT and HENRY’S FUNERAL SHOE complete the Saturday line up at this year’s STEELHOUSE FESTIVAL!

The Steelhouse Festival returns for its 5th anniversary, bringing the cream of international classic rock music to its breathtaking mountain-top location in South Wales.

“This weekend is fast becoming a highlight of the rock ‘n’ roll calendar… miss it at your peril!” – Dave Ling – Classic Rock Magazine.

The Steelhouse Festival welcomes their Celtic brothers – NAZARETH, complete with new vocalist – Wales’ finest – CARL SENTANCE. They join headliners UFO and legendary Twisted Sister frontman DEE SNIDER to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the UK’s best dedicated Classic Rock Festival.

The line-up also includes special guests, Y&T and fellow statesiders TYKETTO along with ‘Queen of Metal’ DORO.
New additions to the Steelhouse line up include, Cambridge young guns – THE TREATMENT. Inspired by an era when ‘Rock bands looked like rock bands’, they combine the drive of early Def Leppard with song writing ability of prime UFO and Thin Lizzy, with an Aerosmith/G’N’R attitude.

The Saturday line up is completed by South Wales’ power blues/rock duo HENRY’S FUNERAL SHOE. Born just a stones throw from the Steelhouse site the Clifford brothers will make their second appearance at the Festival. Recently shortlisted for Classic Rock Magazines ‘European Blues Challenge’, HFS will bring their ballistic brand of blues to the Steelhouse Mountain.

“We’re incredibly pleased to announce these additions to the line up for our 5th Anniversary event’, says Festival co-founder and organiser Sally Ann Evans. “These three bands sum up the ethos of the Steelhouse. We put together legendary ‘vintage’ acts with the best up-and-coming young stars and provide the opportunity to showcase the finest regional talent. It really is the Steelhouse in a nutshell.”

Sons of Dunfermline, NAZARETH conquered the rock world in the 1970’s and 80’s. They enjoyed chart success in Europe and North America with hit singles including: ‘Love Hurts’ and ‘Hair of the Dog’, which became the blueprint for sing along stadium rock anthems.

NAZARETH have inspired generations of rock musicians, among them, Guns ‘N’ Roses who attribute their early sound to their love of NAZARETH’s 1975 ‘Greatest Hits’ album.

Carl Sentance replaces vocalist Dan McCafferty who’s distinctive vocal became the template for rock singers worldwide. Carl has long been regarded as one of Wales’ best rock vocalists, who has leant his incredible vocal talents to bands including: Don Airey and Friends, The Geezer Butler Band as well as Persian Risk and Krokus.

NAZARETH bassist, Pete Agnew explains, “We’ve been looking at Carl from a far for some time. We very much liked what we saw – and heard. So we asked him to come up and sing a couple of songs with us in the studio. He came in and completely blew us away in the space of half a song!”

This year’s festival – which looks set to attract over 10,000 avid rock fans – will again be held on the spectacular mountain-top location at Hafod-y-Dafal Farm, near Ebbw Vale in South Wales, and follows 2014’s hugely successful event headlined by EUROPE and BLACK STAR RIDERS.

The Steelhouse is fast becoming one of the most exciting annual outdoor festivals in the UK that specialises in the crème de la crème of Classic Rock.
